Singers, we know you’re out there; singing along to radio hits or belting out showtunes in the privacy of your homes.
We know you can sing. And we want you to be part of Fargo Star, The Forum’s annual singing showcase.
We’re currently accepting video submissions to the annual Forum singing showcase – send a link to a YouTube video of you singing to FargoStar@forumcomm.com.
But we’re also announcing a series of Fargo Star recording sessions to be held in The Forum and at Divas and Rockstars karaoke bar in West Fargo.
The first recording session will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in The Forum at 101 5th St. N., Fargo (map it). When you get to the Forum building, call (701) 241-5518 to be let inside, where we will record you singing. If you would like to perform to a instrumental backing track bring an iPod, phone or MP3 player with with an audio line out and with the song you want to play loaded on it.
Additional Forum recording sessions will be help from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21 and 30 and Dec. 5. They are open to all ages.
Taping sessions at Divas and Rockstars, 1410 9th St. E., West Fargo, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1, 8 and 15. These are only open to ages 21 and over.
